Hot Tub Hire UK – Terms and Conditions - Disclaimer
Prior to arrival or late bookings on delivery of the hot tub, you will be asked to read and sign a copy of these terms and conditions. The contract  comes into effect when you have paid the booking fee, and agreed to keep these conditions of the contract and we have accepted your order.
 Upon hiring our Hot Tub you automatically agree to accept our Terms and Conditions along with acknowledging that the use of the Tub is at yours and your guests own risk. 
The home owner or hirer must be over 18 and present on delivery and collection unless agreed in writing beforehand - full liability falls on the person/s named in this form. 


Deposit-

The hirer will inspect the hot tub with Hot Tub Hire UK and note and sign for any damage on the equipment. We require a cash deposit of £50 which will be returned to you on collection of the hot tub providing  there is no damage to it and we have access to get it at the agreed time and date and it has not been stolen. A fee of £25 per half hour we are waiting for collection will be taken from the deposit.

 

Any  damage caused by gross misuse and not covered by the £50 deposit will be billed accordingly – the cost of which is set out below. If the customer does not pay for damage or a stolen hot  tub  willingly  then we will pursue for lost moneys in a small claims court and if it has to lead to this stage then we will also claim for lost hire time at a cost of £169 per 7 days pro rata. 

 

If we arrive to deliver your hot tub at the agreed time and no one is in to receive it  then we will try to rearrange delivery subject to extra fuel and time costs but the collection day stays the same, if we are too busy to redeliver then your deposit will be forfeited.  It is up to you to be at home for delivery at the agreed times.

 

Cancellations-

You can cancel your hot tub hire booking up to one week before delivery time and your deposit will be refunded in full. If you cancel after that your deposit will be forfeited. CHANGES AT SHORT NOTICE MUST BE AGREED WITH PRIOR OR DEPOSIT AND ANY LOSS OF EARNINGS WILL BE CHARGED.

 

Hire Periods-

The full hire period is the dates shown on the hire contract / receipt. At the end of the hire period,  goods not made ready for collection will be placed back on hire for a further hire period at the same hire charge you must pay us the extra  charges when we ask for them, to include any additional costs incurred or lost earnings. 

 

 In the winter months if you have finished using the spa it needs to be left switched on to prevent freezing pipes.

 

Your responsibility when hiring the hot tub- Prior to arrival please make sure the area is free of trip hazards, bins and property moved which could get damaged. You must give us clear instructions, and take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of our people. We accept no responsibility for any damage or injuries caused. 

 

The hirer will supply the water for the equipment in the hire period. You must make sure you have a suitable supply of  13amp electricity and it must be in close proximity to where the hot tub will be placed within 15 metres. We require a flat level site to sit the hot tub on, this can be slabs, concrete, blocks or any firm hard standing. Grassed areas are not ideal but is fine if no sharp objects are close and grass not recently cut. 

 

The hirer will inspect the hot tub with Hot Tub Hire UK and note and sign for any damage on the equipment. You the hirer become responsible for the hot tub when you receive it – please take extra care to stop any sharp objects from being around or in the Hot Tub and prevent people from jumping in or on the hot tub.

 

 PLEASE NOTE THE FILTER UNIT IS IN THE HOT TUB - THIS CAN BE BROKEN OFF IF SAT ON OR KNOCKED WITH FORCE - EXTRA CARE MUST BE TAKEN AND STEPS TAKEN TO MAKE ALL USERS AWARE OF ITS PRESENSE -A BROKEN FILTER UNIT WILL FORFIET THE DEPOSIT AND PUT THE HOT TUB OUT OF ACTION - THIS MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR BOISTEROUS PARTIES.

 

Accidents / Injury-

The hirer acknowledges that the use of the hot tub is at the hirers own risk Hot Tub Hire UK  will not be held liable for any accidents, injuries or death. Hot Tub Hire UK will not be liable for accidents, injuries, or death caused by misuse of our tubs – this includes falling over on wet surfaces or falling in or out of the hot tub, use of drink, drugs etc.

Pregnant ladies must not use the hot tub or seek doctors advise first.  Anyone on medication must consult their doctor and if you have any health concerns, please consult your doctor before hot tub use. Children under the age of 16 are strictly prohibited from using the hot tub unsupervised.

 

 The Hot tub is not to be used by anyone who is unwell, unable to swim, suffering with heart problems under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, children must also be supervised at all times. We recommend that the hot tub is used in 10 minute intervals to avoid overheating.

 

 All Hot Tubs are fully sanitised before use, we cannot be held responsible for any infections or ill effects from using the hot tub. Children or adults with chicken pox or any other skin or viral infections are not permitted to use the hot tub as this may cause cross contamination. Dirty water can cause infections such as foliculitus so we recommend that a foot bath is placed on entry to the spa. The hirer is responsible for all people who use the hot tub.

 

Safety Instructions-

You must make sure that everyone using the hot tub is properly instructed on how to use it safely and correctly and that they have all read the instructions we have supplied. Enter the water with care making sure it is not too hot (test first). At a temperature of 390C or above you should not spend more than 15 minutes in the hot tub.

 

 You the hirer must make sure the hot tub is not misused. Only use plastic glasses in the hot tub. Do not enter the hot tub with clothes on, suitable swimming attire only. Do not enter the hot tub with shoes on or with any sharp object on your person. Do not dive or jump into the hot tub. Do not sit on the hot tub cover. Do not stand on the hot tub motor housing or lid.

 

 You the hirer must ensure everyone using the hot tub is in a sound, healthy and fit state or have permission from their doctor where appropriate to use the hot tub safely. You the hirer must make sure users are not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. You must ensure no more than eight people are in the hot tub at any one time. You must ensure the cover is on to retain the heat when not in use.

 

 Always leave the hot tub plugged in and switched on when not in use in order for the filtration / heating systems to work.  If it is accidentally switched off or a power failure occurs, the tub will need to be switched back on and reset as shown in the setup demonstration.

 

 You must make sure everyone showers before using the hot tub or adverse water will result. You must exercise caution to prevent unauthorised access to your spa. Ensure your spa cover is securely fastened when spa is not in use. There is NO GUARANTEE that the cover, actual lock or clip tie downs will prevent access to your spa. 

 

Never run the hot tub without the filter unit in place. TO PREVENT ENTRAPMENT 

 

Residual Safety Device (RCD)
The hot tub should be plugged into the socket using the supplied Residual Safety Device (RCD) at all times to protect against electrical shock along with the supplied water resistant extension lead.

 

Chemicals -

Your health and well being is of the utmost importance to us.  Our hot tubs are thoroughly cleaned at our base before each new hire period we use detergent and bacteria killer specifically made for hot tubs.  We bring enough chemicals with us for your hire period and we will show you how to use them.

 

 To ensure the water in the hot tub is always clean and ready for use during your hire period you must ensure everyone SHOWERS before using the hot tub and all traces of dirt, make up, moisturiser, creams etc must be cleaned from your body before use.  The water in the hot tub will be clean when we leave, it is up to you to keep it that way.  The only way the water can get dirty, is if you put it there. 
 

Do not add bubble bath, foam bath or washing up liquid of any description.  A cleaning charge of £25 or a filter replacement charge of £25 may apply if, when Hot Tub Hire UK inspects the hot tub on collection, we are dissatisfied with the cleanliness.

 

Damages to your property-

Hot Tub Hire UK will not be held responsible for any damages to your property through hiring any of our tubs: this includes any water damage or weight damage to structures, decking, patios, fixtures, fittings, garden or grass areas as a result of the hot tub what so ever.

 

 It is the hirers full responsibility to make sure the area where the hot tub is going to be placed is suitable and will not cause any damage. Things like the filled weight of the tub 1500kg plus people on the surface needs to be taken into account as well as the amount of water that will be displaced on the floor.

 

We do not install hot tubs indoors, garages, conservatories.

 

Limits of our liability -

All the times and dates we quote for delivery or collecting the goods are approximate, we will not be liable for any delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

 

 If the hot tub breaks down or stops working we will determine the problem as soon as possible after you have reported it to us, and then try to repair or replace it as soon as possible. We will not be responsible for any damage caused to your property or persons. 

 

The spa will maintain the set temperature by itself, although during periods of heavy use or when the lid is removed for an extended period there will be a fall in temperature. Staying out of the spa and replacing the lid will allow the water temperature to rise to the desired level.

 

Lost, stolen, damaged or unclean hired hot tub -

You the hirer are responsible for looking after the hot tub and returning  it  to us in the same condition and good working order as they were received by you the hirer.
 

You must pay to us the cost of replacing any hot tub which is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond any economical repair. We recommend you insure the hot tub for the replacement cost. If you do not willingly pay for any damaged replacement part, or stolen hot tub we will pursue a claim in the small claims court.

 

We will try to fix any damage on payment of costs, failure to do so will result in the tub being taken offsite. Failure to allow this the Police will be called and reported as theft.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES - No repairs are to carried out without Hot Tub Hire UKs permission or in attendance by anyone.

If we deem the need to remove the hot tub for any reason due to mis use and or damage - we have the final say. Failure to let us remove the tub will result in the Police being called and the tub reported as stolen.

Upon Collection we will check the following for damage and charge the following fees:
Damage or lost Filter cartridge (cost if damaged £25.00) includes heavily soiled
Damaged filter housing £50
Damage to Cover inserts or cover (Cost if damaged £75 per insert, ripped cover £99)
Damage to liner (cost if damaged £300)
Broken pipe fittings £75
Damage to Tub or Pump/ Heater unit (Upto £500.00)
Damage to surround (up to £500 )
Stolen Hot Tub / Full Replacement £1999

 

Filter Unit + Cover –

The Filter Unit is located inside the tub and can be snapped away from the pump unit if anyone using the tub is not made aware of its presence and is knocked with force- this will be classed as misuse. It is the responsibility of the hirer to inform all users of the tub of this possibility and any damage to the filter will be charged to the hirer at a cost of £50. Additional damage can also be caused to the pipes of the motor unit and this will be charged for separately at £75. The lid is only polystyrene and will break if mishandled or stood on please place in a safe place during use. 

 

Other terms-

If any term in this contract cannot be enforced or agreed to, then the hire of Hot Tub Hire UK equipment will not be 

supplied. By hiring our hot tubs you the hirer agree to release  Hot Tub Hire UK and any of its employees from any and all liabilities incurred during the hire or use of the hot tub. On hiring the hot tub you agree to accept our Term and Conditions and acknowledge that the use of the hot tub is at your, the hirers, own risk.
